About Quanta Change
How It Works
This process works with your brain during sleep, while it is recharging. Quanta Change taps into the part of your brain that creates the moments of your life–and tells your brain that you want to recharge with your well-being instead of Learned Distress. Your brain permanently peels off layers of that old, negative feeling, and your natural, inherent well-being expands to take the place that Learned Distress has always occupied. Quanta Change takes place through these 3 steps:
1. SLEEP with the Quanta Change Sensory Message recording. In it, Sara Avery verbally shares “images of feelings” that give your brain permission to release layers of Learned Distress. Her words are accompanied by soft music.
2. SHIFT to a better feeling when you notice that you don’t feel good during the day. This is how you tell your brain the specific Learned Distress you want it to unlearn for you.
3. SHARE with a Quanta Change Guide in Quanta Change Sessions. She’ll help you identify the Learned Distress you want to unlearn, how to shift during the day, and how to recognize the signposts of Quanta Change as they happen. And she’ll celebrate with you when you see your life start to feel and work better effortlessly!

Mimi Herrmann
Founder and History
The Quanta Change Process is based on over 20 years of scientific research by founder Mimi Herrmann. She started by looking to answer the question, “Why do people get sick?” Her journey included being a researcher within a study in recidivism in heart disease by the Humana Heart Foundation and a 7-year mentoring process with Ph.D. neurophysiologist Dr. Patrick McGraw, to understand how the brain develops and behaves.
In the end, she not only answered her original question with the discovery of Learned Distress, but realized that this learned negative feeling is the source of all human non-well-being. And, as an organic part of her research process, she discovered a way to permanently remove layers of Learned Distress – the Quanta Change Process.
Scientific Background
Many years before the concept of applying quantum physics to human energy became known in popular media, Mimi began to ponder how the energy that makes up human “quanta”–or bundle of energy particles, as defined by physics–would have to obey the laws that physicists say govern the behavior of all energy. She came to see that 3 laws of energy govern how we develop as human quanta, how we absorb and store Learned Distress, and how our brains use that stored Learned Distress to generate the negative moments in our lives.
She developed Quanta Change to turn Learned Distress into non-renewable energy–like burning a log in a fireplace whose ashes cannot be used to create heat again–so that your brain would begin using your natural sense of well-being to generate moments for you, instead.
